With the release of the myTouch 3g from T-Mobile just a few weeks away, the buzz seems to be dampened by other smart phones. With just a few differences between the first T-Mobile G1 and the myTouch 3G I’m just not sure if it’s enough to rush out and purchase one. The design of the new phone is a little more nimble. The keyboard has gone away, the battery life has improved to 420 hours of stand by time, Microsoft Exchange support, the form factor is a little smaller but thats about it. It still has the same 3.2inch display (320×480 resolution), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, 192mb Ram / 256mb Rom, and a 3.15MP autofocus camera. Missing in the new phone is a 3.5mm audio jack and camera flash. The price point seems to be off as well. With a $199 price tag, they are in the same arena as the iPhone 3gs and Palm Pre which I believe are still the leaders. Pre-orders began July 8th and myTouch fanatics should begin to see the phones arriving late July.

Could this phone be it??!! According to the official T-Mobile twitter feed the next Android/Google phone will be named the G1Touch. The information that wasn’t released was the actual manufacture of the new phone but rumor has it to be Huawei. Some of the features we believe the phone to have is:
- 3.5-inch screen
- 3-megapixel camera
- Qualcomm chipset
- High capacity 1,500mAh battery
Unlike the first TMobile Android Model, the G1, there will no QWERTY keyboard.
Android Phones will soon be found down under.
Tuesday, December 9th, 2008The Google Android phones have been a huge hit so far in the US. Our Australia mates will soon be able to enjoy the same technology in a little over a month. Rumored to be released January 29, 2009 the first phones will be the Kogan Agore and Agore Pro. The phones are priced at $299 Australian dollars for the Agora, and the Agora pro at $399. The phones will come completely unlocked, and feature a 624MHz processor, 128 and 256mb rom combo, and both have a microSD slot.
Say Hello to the Agore, the next google phone
Friday, December 5th, 2008The next Google Android based phone is here and actually its pretty nice. It’s very similar to the Samsung Black Jack phone and combines all the functions of the T-Mobile G1 and Apple iPhone. The phone should sell for roughly $200-$260 US dollars and two models should be available. The Agore and the Agore Pro. The pro will feature GPS, Wi-Fi and a camera. Both will include a microSD slot, full QWERTY keyboard and a touchable 320×240 screen.
